Sometimes in your career you are all of a sudden shooting something that 10 year younger you woulnd’t believe! Darbi and Coleman’s wedding was just that for me! Kuaui was an absolute dream to photograph and the way Darbi executed a Black Tie vibe on the beach was just perfection!

We started the weekend with a Welcome Luau and then spent the evening on the beach. Darbi’s custom tulle party dress was one of my favorite looks she wore!

Their wedding day was a culmination of friends, family and a freak rain storm. As they shared their vows overlooking Poipou Beach the storm rolled in fiercely and we all watched them seal the deal under umbrellas soaked to the bone. Truly, one of the sweetest most romantic moments! After a hair and makeup touchup we explored the black lava rocks for portraits and I could have photographed them for eternity. As the waves crashed and her veil delicately lifted in the wind, I was in heaven.

The stellar party went until the wee hours of the morning and I can say without a doubt being one of the Hickock’s nearest and dearest was a gift we’ll never take for granted! What a dream!
